Shapes

Over the past two weeks we have been learning to identify and describe the following shapes: squares, rectangles, triangles, circles, trapezoids and hexagons. As a culminating activity the students worked with a partner to "fill the hexagon" with various shapes. After the students filled the hexagon they had to tell their partner how they did it. For example, "I used 1 trapezoid and 3 triangles to make a hexagon."
